Genre Characteristics- At a rave, people like themselves dancing having a good time. It is a performance music video with magnetic man Djing in front. Although it has people dancing in the video it is not a dance routine or choreographed it is just an audience enjoying the music, something the ravers can relate too.
Lyrics and Visuals- In particular parts the visuals reflect on what the lyrics are saying.
"and you being here" with a boy hugging his friend-
"I need air" with the visuals turning to blue, this particular colour represents air.-
Music and visuals- As the music picks up so does the energy of the audience. As the beat increases it not only does faster cuts but also shows people dancing a lot more enthusiastic, people on shoulders and the strobe lights flashing very fast.
The demands of the record label do not include a lot of close ups of the artist and no lip syncing showing who the artist is as it is a different genre of music. Throughout the music video it shows a few close ups of the DJ at the front who is shown to be the artist of the music being played. Showing the DJ decks and use of lights throughout the video shows the typical visual of what is seen at a rave.
This video is hyper real exaggerating the real life experience, showing what an amazing time the audience are having listening to magnetic mans music. The visuals are quite surreal and makes the whole experience look amazing relating to what the ravers like to do.
